New video: What does my union mean to me?

September 27, 2013

On August 6, folks from the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) embarked on an 18-day road trip from Edmonton to Winnipeg with one purpose: to collect as many stories as possible from PSAC members throughout the Prairie Region.

In a matter of weeks, they interviewed 43 people in eight different cities across three provinces, racked up 3,000+ kilometres in mileage, and collected over 2,700 minutes of footage.

Today, PSAC released the first full-length video in a series to be released at varying intervals over the next year under a variety of themes from human rights to political action and more. Each video will be an important resource for us to teach members about our history and build solidarity.

The first video, “The Value of Unions”, features members from across the Prairies sharing their personal experiences and union memories. In the meantime, watch the trailer below and share it with your friends and colleagues.
