We can’t afford to wait — it’s time for paid sick days for every worker.

People shouldn’t be forced to choose between working sick or struggling to pay the bills — not in pandemic, not ever. It’s wrong to force workers into the impossible choice between putting food on the table and staying home to protect public health when they get sick.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us how important it is to stay home when you’re sick to protect public health. But workers also need to be able to pay their bills and put food on the table. Join our call for the Manitoba government to make sure every worker has access to 10 paid sick days a year, and an additional 10 days during a public health emergency like COVID-19.
