Understanding Manitoba’s 2SLGBTQ+ Workforce

In honour of Pride Month 2026, the MFL Equity and Human Rights Committee is hosting a special presentation: “Understanding Manitoba’s 2SLGBTQ+ Workforce – Rainbow Resource Centre’s The State of 2SLGBTQ+ Communities in Manitoba”.

RSVP REQUIRED BY NOON ON JUNE 2: Space is limited so reserve your seat now by emailing: admin@mfl.mb.ca. If you wish to attend virtually, please let us know in your RSVP and a zoom link will be provided.

More than 270,000 Manitobans – about 20% of the province – identify as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, either personally, or through an immediate family member. Understanding the experiences and needs of this community is essential for organizations looking to build an inclusive workplace and serve Manitoba’s diverse population.

At this event, Rainbow Resource Centre and Probe Research will present findings from their newly released The State of 2SLGBTQ+ Communities in Manitoba Report, affectionately referred to as “State of the Queers”. They’ll explore new insights on public attitude, lived experiences, and the realities many 2SLGBTQ+ Manitobans face in workplaces and communities across our province.
