Manitoba Unions support Winnipeg Folk Festival

July 9, 2012

Manitoba Unions were proud sponsors of the very busy Family Area at the 2012 Winnipeg Folk Festival this past weekend.

The Family Area featured children’s music, crafts and games, helping to make the Festival a true family event for thousands of the more than 50,000 people in attendance over the 5 day event.

For many years, Manitoba unions have supported the Festival in general and the Family Area in particular. This year, the following unions provided support for the Festival:

  • Manitoba Government & General Employees Union
  • United Food & Commercial Workers Local 832
  • Public Service Alliance of Canada – Prairie Region
  • Communications, Energy & Paperworkers Union of Canada
  • Operating Engineersof Manitoba, Local 987
  • Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 500
  • Manitoba Building Trades Council
  • Canadian Union of Public Employees – Manitoba
  • American Income Life
  • Canadian Labour Congress
  • Manitoba Federation of Labour

We were pleased to be part of the huge success that was the 2012 Winnipeg Folk Festival.
