Each year, SAFE Workers of Tomorrow commemorates the April 28 Day of Mourning for workers who have been injured or killed at work. One of the ways they do this is with a Workplace Tag Day Campaign. They make Day of Mourning tags available for people to wear either on or before April 28.
The tags can often be obtained from members of Workplace Health and Safety Committees – or you can call the SAFE Workers of Tomorrow at 992-2988 – send an email request to Allan@workersoftomorrow.com – or drop in to their office at 884 Portage Avenue. If you wish, donations to SAFE Workers of Tomorrow are greatly appreciated and can lead to safer workplaces.
SAFE Workers of Tomorrow is a non-profit, registered charity, which provides classroom presentations to students throughout Manitoba, educating young workers about workplace safety issues and promoting the prevention message. They do this at no cost to schools. The proceeds from the workplace tag day campaign are used to enhance their ability to provide the presentations throughout Manitoba
