If your Winnipeg postal code begins with R2P or R2V, you’re about to lose Canada Post Home Delivery, to be replaced by banks of mail boxes sitting on a boulevard at the side of the road.  If you have any Canadian Postal Code between the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans, you should be upset about this.

Canada Post has recently announced their intention to end home mail delivery for all residents currently receiving door-to-door delivery in the R2P and R2V postal code delivery areas.  The decision to do so was made with very little or no input from those that will see home delivery eliminated.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers is hosting a town-hall meeting to receive input and feedback on the proposed changes.  We believe there are alternatives to the drastic cuts and would like to share those with you.

We are inviting you to participate in the event and hear from representatives from Senior Citizens, Persons Living with Disabilities, City Councillors and Members of Parliament for a panel discussion followed by a question and answer period.
